We have a God of miracles. A miraculous God!

Hola hola hola! Cómo les fue esta semana?!? Espero que todo esté bien! :)
[Hello Hello hello! How it fares this week? ! ? Hope all is well! :)]

This week was great!!! Ok, I´ll start with the biggest news first. Yesterday, Romina, her husband Alejandro, and their daughter Francina were baptized!!!!!!!!! It was beautiful and miraculous!!!

At the beginning of the week, we weren´t sure if Alejandro and Francina were going to be baptized. We hadn´t had much time to teach them everything and we were rather nervous. But, this isn´t the first time that I´ve had rushed baptisms so I know that they can happen. So, we left the decision up to them. Son Wednesday, we got a call from Romina and she told us that she wanted to meet with us to talk about the baptism. When we got there, she told us that Alejandro was going to wait to be baptized. We were sad, but we understood. It´s their choice.
On Saturday, we went with the elders to do the interview of Romina (again. Just in case). She passed no problem. While we were talking for a bit, Romina´s mom came and a short while after her grandmother. We set a baptismal date with the grandmother and almost the mom, but she left. Then Alejandro came and Elder Muñoz (district leader) interviewed him. When they came out, they told us that Alejandro had decided to be baptized the next day as well. He was so happy, he couldn´t stop smiling. Then Francina came and Elder Muñoz interviewed her. After the interview, they told us that she too had decided and was prepared to be baptized.
So yesterday, the family San Martín was baptized and confirmed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!!! It was a beautiful baptism!! There are no words to describe how one feels seeing the people that you have taught, that you have grown to love so much, enter the waters of baptism. It is an indescribable joy!

Wow, ok, now for the rest of the week. :)
On Tuesday, we had the Sister Training Leaders with us. It was fun to get to know them a little more and to learn from them!
Sister Training Leaders--Hna Ascuña and Hna Woolley

Micaela and Hermana Ascuña

Micaela and Hermana Woolley didn't know their picture would be taken.
Juan. I don´t know what to do with Juan. He´s not coming to church. I don´t know if he´s really praying or listening to the Book of Mormon (he doesn't´t know how to read). I really think that we are going to drop him for good this week. He´s not progressing and we have done everything that we can to help him. It´s really hard and sad to have to drop investigators.

Elva. She´s also not going to church. She´s still waiting for her answer. I would say that she´s waiting for a sign. We´re going to have a frank conversasion with her this week and decide whether or not we have to drop her as well.

Guadalupe. Same old same old. But we are not giving up on her. If she had it her way, she would have been baptized before I even got here. We need to talk to her dad. It´s just really hard to find him.

WE NEED TO FIND MORE INVESTIGATORS!!!!!!!!! But don´t worry, we´ll do it. After all, we have God on our side. :)

Anyway, it was a great week!!!! I love it when we have baptisms! What joy!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that you all are doing well and that you have had a good week. Make it an amazing week this week!!!! Go on an adventure. Laugh. Smile. Share with a friend. Live and love God. For He is and always will be the center of everything.

Love from,
Hermana Micaela Wilson

Strength Beyond My Own

Waiting for the bus
Hola hola hola!!

Bueno, this week was really good! We had exchanges in Tuesday and that was fun. Bueno, now for the investigators. :)

Romina, Alejandro and Francina (and Francesca). So, Romina and her family came to church on Sunday! It was great! We talked with them on Saturday and on Sunday. On Saturday we taught the Restoration and on Sunday we went through the commandments. It was really good. We talked with Alejandro about how he felt about being baptized. He said that he wasn´t 100% sure about it all. But, if he felt what he had felt in church all the time, he would be. We testified that the feeling he felt was the Holy Ghost and that he could indeed feel that feeling again, all the time. But he has to do his part. We talked about that after baptism, he would have the opportunity to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. O sea, that he would be able to have that feeling all the time, as long as he is worthy to keep it. It was a really good lesson. He is amazing! We are still planning the baptism for them both on Sunday, but we also want Alejandro to feel comfortable. We are going to wait a little bit with Francina (the daughter) so that we can teach her according to her needs. (Francesca is their other daughter who is 7 years old.)

Elva. We are still working with Elva so that she can recognize her answers. It´s been a little hard. We don´t know what else we can do to help her. She is wonderful, just a little stubborn.

Juan. Bueno, I don´t know if you all remember what happened with Juan. He was the man that almost got baptized last transfer, but on the day of his baptism, he didn´t go. We went to see him and talked to him very frankly about what he was searching for (peace) and how he could get it. He told us that he knew he needs to be baptized to receive all that he feels he needs. So, we talked about it a little more and invited him to be baptized. He accepted. I am just really hesitant about it. We want to be extremely sure that he´s sure. We are going to be doing a lot of praying for him to know what to do.

Guadalupe. Everything is practically the same with Guada. She´s still reading and praying and still can´t go to church. We are going to try to set up an appointment with her dad and bring the president of the Young Women and some youth with us. We really want to help her.

Anyway, this week was good. We went to go visit the people that we had found the week before, but they weren´t there. :( We´re going to try again this week though. :)

I hope that you are all doing well at home! I love you all so much!!!

Exchanges with Hermana Mikolajcik
Micaela's answers to some questions:

1. Do you feel the Lord is blessing you?
I do. It´s amazing. When I feel like I just can´t go on anymore, I feel a strength that isn´t my own. I hear a phrase that helps me, or I remember something that has been said. The scriptures and prayer have become my anchor. I know that whenever I read or pray, He is there. He is listening. He is my rock and my strength.

2. What have you learned about yourself that you didn't know before?
I´m stronger than I knew, but without God, I am nothing.

3. Do you ever do fun things on your P-day?
Yeah, we do. Two weeks ago we went to Marcos Juarez as a district and watched movies. Last week we went to Villa Maria and did Zumba. That was really fun!

Dancing In the Street

Hola todos!
[Hello everybody!]

Esta semana fue muy buena. Saben que? Cada semana es más difícil escribir estas cartas en ingles. Pero bueno.
[This week was very good. You know what? Each week it is more difficult to write these letters in English . But good.]

Anyway, this week was really good. We founds some people that are very interested. It was great! I´m getting to know my companion more and more every day as well.

Bueno, first and foremost, Romina. She is incredible. I just love her! We went to visit her on Saturday and we talked with her for a while. Then we also talked with her husband. We wanted to talk to him because he had come to church the week before and had accepted an appointment with us. So, we talked about what he has seen so far of the church, of the change that his wife has made and so forth. He told us that he really liked the church and felt good there. He also likes the change that he´s seen in his wife. Then, he went on to tell us about how much he has changed in his life. He shared a really personal experience with us as well, and through that we were able to help. We talked about second chances and the reason that we are here. We talked about how we can be with our families forever and that we don´t have to be separated. He really liked that and so we also invited him to be baptized. He accepted! It was amazing! We were so excited! We left the house and I started dancing in the street. Literally. I was so excited. There is no feeling like the feeling you get when someone accepts the invitation to be baptized. It was incredible!

Elva. We talked with her and invited her to church again. It´s hard because she wants to be so sure about everything. I think it´s a bit like what it talks about in Alma 32. That faith is not a perfect knowledge, but rather a belief in something that you can´t see, which is true. (I don´t know how it is in English, so I´m just guessing...) But, we had a really good lesson and invited her to pray right there to find her answer. It was powerful. I just hope she recognizes it.

It is amazing how the Spirit leads you here in the mission. On Saturday after my personal studies, the thought came to my mind that I needed to buy a notebook for my studies. I brushed it off, however. Then, when we left the pension, we were walking and passed a little shop that sold notebooks. I did a double take and entered. My companion was a little startled, but followed me. We talked to the lady that worked there and I bought the notebook. Then she asked us where we were from (like everyone) and we told her. Then she told us that she has a friend in the church that is on a mission as well. So we talked about the church for a bit, got her direction and an appointment. We haven´t gone yet, but I´m hoping that she progresses. It was an incredible experience for me. I love how the Spirit guides.

Anyway, this week was really good. In church yesterday we had Romina. Her husband didn´t make it because he´s a camionero (don´t know how to say that in English. Sorry) [truck driver]. Elva didn´t come because she had a really bad headache and couldn´t get out of bed.

I hope that you are all doing well! Have a wonderful week!!! I love you all!!!

Love from,
Hermana Micaela Wilson
